Nuevos formatos de verificación. El caso de Maldito Bulo en Twitter

Abstract

La evolución del estudio de los rumores y bulos en Twitter tiene que adaptar la mirada a cada país y a cada sistema mediático comparado (Hallin y Mancini, 2004). El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la estrategia comunicativa de la cuenta de fact-checking de Maldito Bulo (España) y explorar y describir los procesos de verificación y divulgación queallí se (re)presentan. En este estudio, se realiza un análisis de contenido sobre sus tuits, enlaces, imágenes, menciones, etc. y se complementa el estudio con entrevistas en profundidad a los miembros del equipo. Del análisis realizado de la cuenta de Maldito Bulo se dibujan de forma clara dos estrategias y estructuras comunicativas diferentes: una relacionada con el desmentido de rumores y otra con la tipología de desinformaciones que circulan.The evolution of the study of rumors and hoaxes on Twitter has to adapt the look to each country and to each media compared system (Hallin & Mancini, 2004). The aim of this research is to analyze the tweets published from the Maldito Bulo account (Spain) and to explore and describe the verification processes that are (re)presented there. In this study, a content analysis is focused on their tweets, links, images, mentions, etc. and the research is complemented by in-depth interviews with team members. From the analysis carried out on the Maldito Bulo account, two different strategies and structures of communication are clearly drawn: one related to debunking rumors and the other related to the type of disinformation that circulates.
