I had the pleasure of going to one of many events of the Darwin festival. The Barry Brown and the Get Downs Show in Civic square was my first experience of Darwin's nightlife. Everywhere around me groups of people sat chatting and laughing on the lawns. For this occasion the square was turned into a wonderland of lights, sights and sounds and the "laid-back vibe" of the tropics was at it's best.,
