Summary:Videotape testimony of Halina S., who was born in Kraków, Poland in 1929. She describes her loving family; the outbreak of war; fleeing with her family to Słomniki in 1940; returning to Kraków; living with her family in a village to avoid ghettoization; returning with her family to Słomniki; entering a labor camp to join her older brother and sister as advised by her parents (she never saw them again); deportation to the Kraków ghetto; her brother advising her to volunteer to move to Płaszów; transfer to Schindler's factory; Schindler arranging an easier job for her; visiting her brother in Płaszów with Schindler's assistance; disinterring and burning corpses in Płaszów after Schindler's factory was closed in 1944; deportation to Auschwitz; special treatment because they were on "Schindler's list"; encountering a friend from Płaszów and helping each other; and transfer to Brněnec. Mrs. S. relates the relatively good conditions in Schindler's factory; liberation by Soviet troops; traveling to Kraków; reunion with her brother; meeting her half-brothers and sister; fleeing with her brother to Berlin; and emigration to the United States.
