    • Biographical / Historical note:The artist is probably Christopher Stone Bulstrode (1818-1894), who would later become a cabinet-maker and upholsterer at Cambridge.
    • Summary:Drawings are executed in graphite or pen and black ink, with one watercolor drawing. One drawing is a self-portrait, depicting a young man with paints and a portable easel on his back, along with a signboard reading "Lithographic Sketches by C. Bulstrode, 1832." Also present are classical figure studies, copies from the antique, physiognomic observations, and landscape scenes. One rural scene is identified as "Croxley Hall Farm" (Hertfordshire).
