• Biographical / Historical note:Heinrich Henel (1905-1981), Sterling Professor Emeritus of German at Yale University, was a professor at Yale from 1957 to 1981; his previous faculty positions included Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, 1932-1947.

The article was published in Monatshefte für deutschen Unterricht, volume 30, number 2 (1938 February), in response to "Some English Mosaics from Faust," by Alfred C.
