    • Biographical / Historical note:Bottle of Smoke Press is a small independent printer/publisher/bookbinder of avant-garde poetry, artwork, and both short and novel-length fiction. Bill Roberts founded the Press in October, 2002, on the advice from Gary Aposhian of Twelve Gauge Press. Originally located in Leesburg, Virginia, the Press later moved to Purdys, New York. Bottle of Smoke Press uses antique letterpress printing techniques (handset lead/wood type) with cutting edge printing and bookbinding techniques, to produce short-run, collectible limited editions. The press has published works by poets including Gerard Malanga, Greg Dulli, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Charles Bukowski, Thurston Moore, Amber Tamblyn, Kim Deitch, and many others.
