Colonel Williams, Captain Mudge, &c. : this chart extends from London to the southern coast of England : upwards of fifty miles in length, near thirty in breadth, and comprising about three hundred parishes situated adjacent to the roads leading from London to Brighthelmston, Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourn, Seaford, Rottingdean, Worthing, &c. : the whole engraved and published under the immediate inspection of the author : assisted in the description of the different noblemen and gentlemen's seats by the possessors : and such as relate to history and antiquities, from the very best authenticated authorities."
