The above report is copied from the Portsmouth, N.H. gazette.--A letter from Joseph Gilpatric, formerly of this town, (now employed at the Kittery Navy Yard,) says he was present and heard Mr. Somes, and that the report is correct in substance, and is nearly in the words used by Mr. S."
