Notes, writings, sermons, and scrapbooks provide documentation of the work and context of an Episcopal clergyman in New England at the turn of the century. The scrapbooks contain clippings of writings by Wright and area town news. The majority of the sermons in this collection were preached in St. John's Church, Sandy Hook.

Abstract
Sermons, scrapbooks, notes, and writings document the work of Otis Olney Wright, an Episcopal clergyman in New England during the last part of the 19th century and the first two decades of the 20th century. Wright served St. John's Church in Sandy Hook, CT from 1891 to circa 1917.
Biographical / Historical
Otis Olney Wright was born on May 6, 1844. He was ordained as a deacon and priest in the Episcopal Church circa 1881-1882 and was the rector of St. John's Church, Sandy Hook, Connecticut from 1891 to 1912. He then back moved to Swansea, Massachusetts where he had worked earlier, and wrote a history of that town before moving back to the Sandy Hook area in 1918. Wright died on October 6, 1919.
