Biographical / Historical

Vladimir Sokolov-Samarin was a Russian émigré writer, anti-communist activist, and lecturer in Russian literature at Yale University from 1959 until 1976. In 1976, he resigned from Yale amidst controversery concerning his 1943 writings for Rech, a pro-Nazi Soviet newspaper.
