We reported previously a method for the numerical estimation of roughness in which the mean fracture surface is approximated by a power series of the coordinate. In this paper the mean surface is approximated by Fourier series modified 80 as to fit physically to the practical mean surface. Various types Sa, Sb, Sc, Tb, Te and Uc of modification are estimated and it is conc1uded that the type Ue is the most adequate on the points of reliability for the various degree of approximation and practical numericals of the coefficients.
