Solutions, solutions all around and not a problem to solve: Mental categories and quantitative problem solving

This study employed a series of manipulations in order to test how to improve GRE quantitative problem solving. Categorizing problem types at the outset of training was compared to categorizing problem types at later stages of training. Additionally, the effects of ratio of worked examples to problem-solving practice were examined. (See more in text.)
