Abstract

The objective of this research project was to compare the effects of the sponsor’s organic fertilizer products on performance, root and shoot growth of established Kentucky bluegrass home lawn turf on a soil rootzone under a standard and reduced fertilizer program. Visual assessments were taken for turf colour, quality, density, and uniformity, as well as canopy reflectance readings using normalized-difference vegetation index (NDVI). Total root growth was also measured through sample cores. No significant differences were found between treatments.
