| Abstract: | The cemetery is one of the city spaces where the social body manifests itself. The function of burying the remains is just a circumstantial element up against the different realities that it hides. Behind the cemetery physical image, there are values related to memory, culture and the identity of the social body. Thus, this space becomes a reflection of the different societies. |
| Description: | O cemitério é um dos espaços da cidade onde o corpo social se manifesta. A função de enterrar os defuntos é apenas um elemento circunstancial face às diferentes realidades que oculta. Por detrás da imagem física do cemitério, existem valores associados à memória, à cultura e à identidade do corpo social. E este espaço torna-se, assim, o reflexo das diferentes sociedades. |
