Abstract:	Several data communication networks that canprovide guaranteed and deterministic Quality of Service(QoS) have been proposed. However, these always eitherrequire special hardware, or special device drivers. Inthis paper we propose building a network managementarchitecture capable of providing QoS guarantees overswitched Ethernet, using the standard Linux TrafficControl.
