The data in general are gemstones consumed in Roman markets and featured in book 37 of Pliny's Natural History. The data are the result of cleaning processes of the data. These cleaned and processed data have served to elaborate the graphs of networks of precious stones in the Roman Empire, according to the vision of Pliny the Elder ​
