Fecha de publicación: | 2013 | Editor: | The International Society for Optics and Photonics | Serie: | Proceedings of SPIE 8626: 86261A (2013) | Resumen: | In this work we report the influence of the crystallization stage of the host matrix on the spectroscopic properties of rareearth ions in CaSiO3/Ca3(PO4)2 biocompatible eutectic glass-ceramics grown by the laser floating zone technique. The microstructural analysis shows that either a growth rate increase or a rod diameter decrease leads the system to a structural arrangement from three (two crystalline and one amorphous) to two phases (one crystalline and one amorphous). The crystalline phases correspond to apatite-like and Ca2SiO4 structures. Site-selective laser spectroscopy allows to distinguish between crystalline and amorphous environments for the Nd3+ ions and to correlate the spectroscopic properties with the microstructure of these eutectics. | Descripción: | Trabajo presentado al: "Oxide-based Materials and Devices IV" celebrado en San Francisco (US) del 2 al 7 de Febrero de 2013. | Versión del editor: | http://dx.doi.org/10.1117/12.2002090 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/103348 | DOI: | 10.1117/12.2002090 | ISSN: | 0277-786X | Identificadores: | doi: 10.1117/12.2002090 |
