At the western border of the Veiga granodiorite (Hercynian Arc of Galicia), C-S structures coexist with brittle mesostructures (faults and dykes corresponding to the late stages of emplacement). C and S structures indicate that the cooling of magma was coeval with the Chandoiro fault, a N-S striking normal fault with a N280E hanging wall displacement direction. Brittle structures were analysed by means of the Right Dihedra, Right Trihedra and Etchecopar's methods. They are consistent with a NW-SE extension direction and à vertical c, axis. The coincidence between the two extension directions means that the stress regime under which the granitoid Intruded maintained during the post-cooling stage
