Il peso degli aggettivi: appunti sulle letterature tradotte provenienti dall'Europa centro- e sud-orientale

The paper aims to reflect upon the importance of some adjectives that mark the perception of the literatures of Central and South-Eastern Europe in Italy. The analysis focuses on the adjectives peripheral, minor, and other from, often found alongside the "umbrella terms" of Eastern Europe, Mitteleurope, Central Europe, and the Balkans, in an attempt to highlight the consequences that their adoption brings to the perception of literary works from these areas of Europe.
