O Plano de Negócios no Contexto do Empreendedorismo Corporativo: O Caso ISA

Abstract

O presente relatório foi desenvolvido no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado em Economia, que decorreu na área de Marketing da empresa ISA – Intelligent Sensing Anywhere entre 1 de setembro e 13 de dezembro de 2016. A empresa encontra-se a desenvolver um novo negócio destinado a um novo mercado e, como tal, o que se encontra a ocorrer na empresa é um exemplo de processo empreendedor, tendo sido possível encontrar semelhanças entre o que está a ocorrer atualmente na empresa e o processo empreendedor descrito por alguns autores. Sendo assim, analisou-se o tema do empreendedorismo corporativo, ou seja, o empreendedorismo que ocorre dentro das empresas e que contribui para o aumento da sua vantagem competitiva. Para facilitar a entrada da empresa no novo mercado, desenvolveu-se um plano de negócios, considerado por alguns autores um apoio fundamental ao empreendedorismo que deve por isso constar no processo empreendedor. Este permitiu compreender que o novo negócio poderá ser benéfico para a empresa, mas também arriscado dado que foram poucos os países que se revelaram mercados atrativos à entrada. O relatório divide-se então em três partes, nomeadamente: a revisão da literatura sobre os temas empreendedorismo e plano de negócios; a análise da situação da empresa e apresentação do plano de negócios desenvolvido para o seu novo negócio; e, por fim, a apresentação do estágio, nomeadamente a apresentação das tarefas desenvolvidas e a análise crítica do estágio. This report is the result of the internship integrated on the curriculum of the Master's Degree in Economics, which took place in the Marketing area of ISA - Intelligent Sensing Anywhere between September 1 and December 13, 2016. The company is developing a new business aimed at a new market and, as such, what is happening in the company is an example of an entrepreneurial process, so it was possible to find similarities between what is currently occurring in the company and the entrepreneurial process described by some authors. Thus, the theme corporate entrepreneurship was analyzed, which is the entrepreneurship that occurs within companies and contributes to companies’ competitive advantage. To ease the company's entry into the new market, a business plan has been developed, which isconsidered by some authors a fundamental support for entrepreneurship that must therefore be included in the entrepreneurial process. The business plan allowedto understand that the new business may be beneficial to the company but also risky given that very few countries where found to be attractive markets to entry. The report is divided into three parts, namely: a review of the literature on the themes entrepreneurship and business plan; an analysis of the company's situation and presentation of the business plan developed for its new business; and, finally, the presentation of the internship, namely the presentation of the tasks developed and the critical analysis of the internship.
