O uso de ferramentas digitais no ensino de Inglês

Abstract

O uso de ferramentas digitais no ensino de InglêsCom a evolução e com a expansão da tecnologia, é, hoje em dia, possível encontrar dispositivos tecnológicos em quase todas as partes do mundo. Esses dispositivos são, de alguma forma, indispensáveis e fazem parte do nosso quotidiano. A tecnologia contribui e influencia a vida das pessoas de diferentes formas, quer no lazer, na saúde, em casa e principalmente no trabalho.Neste relatório irei abordar, especificamente, a forma como as ferramentas digitais podem influenciar de forma positiva o nosso trabalho enquanto docentes de inglês, bem como apresentar diferentes perspetivas sobre o ensino de línguas estrangeiras com recurso às ferramentas digitais. Será dividido em 3 capítulos: o primeiro descreve o contexto socioeducativo em que realizei o estágio pedagógico e o perfil das turmas em que lecionei; o segundo apresenta a minha formação prévia e uma descrição das atividades letivas e extraletivas realizadas durante o estágio, bem como uma avaliação crítica do meu desempenho; e o terceiro incide no tema central deste relatório, abordando primeiramente o papel das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) no ensino em geral, e depois o seu uso no contexto específico do ensino e aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras. Na terceira parte deste capítulo, descrevo as diferentes competências linguísticas e as possíveis vantagens e desvantagens do uso das TIC para o seu desenvolvimento. Para terminar, apresento e comento as técnicas e ferramentas que utilizei nas minhas aulas, e que provaram ser bastante motivadoras para os/as alunos/as e ter efeitos positivos na sua aprendizagem.

The Use of Digital Tools in English Language Teaching With the evolution and expansion of technology around the world, it is possible to find, nowadays, technological devices almost everywhere. These devices have become essential and, in many ways, a part of our life and daily routine. Technology contributes to and influences people’s lives in many different ways, as in leisure, health, at home and especially at work.In this report I will focus on the way digital tools can have a positive influence on our work as English teachers, and present different perspectives on the use of digital tools in foreign language teaching. The report is divided into three chapters: the first describes the socio-educational context in which I carried out my teaching internship; the second presents my academic background and describes the classes that I taught and the extra-curricular activities in which I participated throughout the year, making a critcal assessment of my performance; and the third focuses on the central topic of this report, addressing first the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in teaching in general, and then their use in more specific context of the teaching and learning of foreign languages. In the third part of this chapter, I describe the different language skills and the advantages and disadvantages of using ICT for their development. Finally, I present and discuss the techniques and tools that I used in my classes, which proved to be a motivating factor for the students, and consequently had positive effects on their learning.
