George Washington Paschal (1869-1956) was professor of Greek and alumnus of Wake Forest College (class of 1892); editor of the Biblical Recorder; Baptist historian and author. George Washington Paschal's papers consist of biographical information and genealogical materials on the Paschal famiy; correspondence; writings and speeches; legal documents; maps; photographs; certificates and printed materials; research files; professional files; and Wake Forest College files. The bulk of the materials are for the period 1926-1954 and include his rough drafts and notes for his published history of North Carolina Baptists and his unpublished history of the Southern Baptist Convention's Foreign Mission Board.
