Title: | Wall E | Authors: | Ho, Jesman Shao Zhang | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2016 | Abstract: | 3D movies are on the rise and not only for entertainment purpose, 3D is also use in other applications in medical, design and other fields of works. In this project, a 3D live streaming system will be built and mounted onto a RC (Remote Control) car to analyze limitations and difficulties of creating this system. We will try to solve problems such as the bandwidth and the delay that are caused by using a wireless connection by understanding the various IEEE standards and the video conversion types. Variables such as resolution of the stream, webcams, power bank, the programming board that is use are important variables which may be considered to change into another for better result or comparison. We will also look in various tools which allow for 3D viewing. In addition, a 3D video utilizes stereoscopy to create the 3D effect. Moreover, there will be various depth cues introduce under monocular and binocular categories. These cues are essential in a 2D to 3D video conversion as each of them will supplies information which are lacked in other cues’ aspects. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/68352 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
