Educar para os valores através da literatura infantil : um projeto de investigação - ação no 1º ciclo do ensino básico

Abstract

O presente trabalho surge no âmbito da docência, tendo como preocupação central a melhoria das relações das crianças com os seus pares, consciencializandoas, assim, para a importância do agir com ética. O principal objetivo desta investigação é o de perceber qual é o contributo das histórias, contadas em contexto de sala de aula, no desenvolvimento de conceitos de amizade, respeito e diferença em alunos do 3º ano de escolaridade. O estudo foi realizado com os alunos de uma turma do 3º ano de uma das escolas do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico do Agrupamento de Escolas Viseu Norte, que, no geral, revelam dificuldades de relacionamento com os colegas e algum desconhecimento do verdadeiro significado de alguns valores, como é o caso da amizade, respeito e diferença. Para o efeito, aplicaram-se vários instrumentos de recolha de dados como uma primeira entrevista, no início da investigação; a observação participante; a análise documental resultante das atividades e diferentes desafios propostos sobre um corpus escolhido de acordo com os objetivos definidos no início do estudo; e, finalmente, uma segunda entrevista aplicada no final do estudo, que servirá para comparar resultados obtidos antes e após a implementação do estudo. Esta investigação permite concluir que a Literatura Infantil tem uma grande importância na promoção e desenvolvimento de valores, na melhoria das relações do Eu com o Outro, assim como no enriquecimento de vocabulário relacionado com a educação para a cidadania. Cada vez mais, na sociedade atual, se exige aos docentes inovação e estratégias diversificadas na educação para a cidadania, podendo-se constatar que a Literatura Infantil é um grande alicerce nesse percurso e uma verdadeira coadjuvante no alcance de resultados positivos.

The present work comes under the scope of teaching, having as central concern the improvement of the relationships between children and their pairs, making them aware, therefore, for the importance of acting with ethics. The main objective of this research is to understand the contribution of the stories told in the classroom context, to the development of concepts of friendship, respect and difference in the students of the 3rd grade. The study was carried out with the students of a 3rd grade class of one of the schools of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education of the Group of Schools of Viseu Norte (Portugal), that in general, reveal difficulties of relationship with colleagues and some lack of knowledge of the true meaning of some values, such as friendship, respect and difference. For this purpose, they were applied some instruments of data gathering such as first interview, in the beginning of the research; the participant observation; the documental analysis resulting from activities and the different proposed challenges about a corpus chosen according the defined objectives in the beginning of the study and, finally, a second interview applied in the end of the study which will serve to compare the results obtained before and after the implementation of the study. This study allows to conclude that Children’s Literature has a major importance in the promotion and development of values, in the improvement of the relationships of I with the Other, as well as in the vocabulary enrichment related with the Education for Citizenship. More and more, in today’s society, is required to the teachers, innovation and diversified strategies in the education for citizenships, being able to notice that Children’s Literature is a major foundation in this route and a true support to reach positive results.
