Abstract

Power quality is of increasing interest in the field of power engineering. Analyzing variations in power quality is essential to determining the causes of fluctuations in the power system. Sifting through data to find disturbances among thousands of instantaneous voltage readings is an extremely time-consuming process. The program developed for this work automates the process of isolating disturbances and provides metrics related to voltage sags and swells. These results can then be examined to determine which events require further inspection. The program also provides a plotting function, allowing the user to view waveforms for further analysis.
