| 内容記述 | 本共同教科開発学専攻では、教員養成をおこなう上でこれまで別々に捉えられていた感のある３つの領域、教科専門、教科教育、教職専門を融合し、新たな学問領域を構築しようとしている。このような特色を持つ本専攻と、他大学の「博士（教育学）」課程の教育・運営方針を比較することで、本専攻の今後の方向性を考える一助とする。白畑、新保、北山の３名は、2014 年３月、アメリカ合衆国におけるDoctor of Education Program の現状を把握するために、同国カリフォルニア州の３つの大学（南カリフォルニア大学 (USC)、カリフォルニア大学ロサンジェルス校 (UCLA)、カリフォルニア州立大学ロングビーチ校 (CSULB)）を視察した。このうち、USC とUCLA の２校でEd.D. Program 担当者と面会し、話を聞くことができた。そのインタビュー内容を紹介する。次に、日本でEd.D.の学位を授与している唯一の大学院である名古屋大学の博士課程について、今津の2 本の論文を考察することで、１）日本における学位の授与規定について、２）日本におけるEd.D.コースの現状について情報提供する。以上の考察に基づき、本専攻の方向性についてもう一度確認することで我々の方向性を確認する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In April 2012, Aichi University of Education and Shizuoka University began a new doctoral program in the Graduate School of Education titled Cooperative Doctoral Course in Subject Development. The program is attempting to develop unique systematic curricula and produce researchers with a new type of Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) by combining three different but related academic fields together: (a) learning of student’s major subject (e.g., learning scientific theory); (b) learning how to teach his or her major subject (e.g., how to teach science to students); and (c) learning of pedagogy and education in general (e.g., learning what education should be). The aim of this Japanese-type Ed.D. Program is to emphasize the integration of theory and practice. In order to provide further support for our direction, the authors went to University of Southern California and University of California at Los Angeles to have interviews with professors who were in charge of their respective Ed.D. programs. Then, by examining two research papers written by Professor Kojiro Imazu, the authors examined the case of Ed.D. program at Nagoya University which is the only university that grants Ed.D. degrees in Japan. Through these interviews and subsequent analyses, the authors have concluded that the consolidation of academic content, specific pedagogical approaches to teach subject matter, and general education will support the scholastic needs of our doctorate students. | |||||
