Catarse coletiva ou a comunidade em pira: o Enterro do Rico Irmão na aldeia do Touro

Resumo
O ritual Enterro do Rico Irmão tem lugar na terça feira de Carnaval na Aldeia do Touro, em plena Serra da Nave no centro-norte de Portugal e funciona como pivot desta investigação que aqui se materializa: é objeto de trabalho teórico e prático e é matéria-prima para a produção e reflexão no domínio do artístico. - Para tal, é produzida descrição, análise e reflexão acerca deste ritual, a partir de trabalho de campo e de revisão bibliográfica, possibilitando o seu contraste com os rituais aproximados e com os rituais de sacrifício e permitindo, assim, entretecer uma linhagem e um diálogo destas práticas através dos tempos. Há também, neste trabalho desenvolvido, o desejo de entender e demonstrar uma forma de catarse da comunidade que se efetua nestes rituais e que pauta, gravando a fogo as ruas da Aldeia do Touro, a noite de Terça-feira de Carnaval a cada ano. A partir deste entendimento e diálogo com o ritual, nele próprio e na sua investigação, bem como numa revisão do estado da arte, cria-se o envolvimento e a esteira para uma produção artística, a partir do fotográfico. Nesta produção cria-se, também, uma investigação e experimentação acerca dos meios usados, no trabalho de campo, no atelier e na consecução da obra expositivamente em formato instalação. Enquanto resultado, todo o trabalho de desenvolvimento artístico se transforma num contínuo diálogo entre todos os momentos da investigação, permitindo aferir conclusões teóricas e operativas acerca de todos os estudos e processos envolvidos.
The Enterro do Rico Irmão ritual takes place on Tuesday of Carnival in the village of Touro, at Serra da Nave in the north-central Portugal and works as a pivot for the research that materializes here: as subject of theoretical and practical work and as subject production and reflection in the artistic domain. - For such, it is produced description, analysis and reflection about this ritual, focusing on field work and bibliographical revision, enabling its contrast with approximate mores and the practice of rituals of sacrifice, permitting to interweave a lineage and a dialogue of these practices through time. There is also, in this work, the desire to understand and demonstrate a form of community catharsis that takes place in these rituals and which puts on motion, etching with fire the streets of Touro, the night of Carnival, each and every year. From this understanding and dialogue with the ritual, in itself and in its investigation, as well as in a review of the state of the art, its created the involvement and the wake for an artistic production, departing from the photographic medium. In this production is also created research and experimentation on the media that was used, in the field work, in the studio and in carrying out the work expositively in installation format. As a result, all the artistic development work becomes a continuous dialogue between all the research moments, allowing to obtain theoretical and operative conclusions about all studies and processes involved.
