Resumo
A presente dissertação tem por temática o estudo da construção pombalina inserida no contexto urbano da zona histórica de Lisboa.
A área de estudo é um edifício situado na Rua dos Sapateiros, número 129.
Ao longo do trabalho exploram-se as técnicas de conservação e reabilitação do património arquitetónico, propondo a apropriação de aspetos da construção já existente e adicionando novos elementos para permitir a contínua utilização dos espaços.
Inicialmente, pretende-se perceber quais as características do modelo urbanístico pombalino e as suas técnicas construtivas e assim compreender o valor do edificado que ainda respeita essas características. A segunda etapa do estudo incide sobre o desenvolvimento de um projeto de reabilitação na Rua dos Sapateiros 129, mantendo a mesma tipologia por apartamento e reaproveitando vários elementos arquitetónicos, mantendo a estrutura do edifício, não comprometendo a durabilidade e integridade da construção, conferindo assim ao imóvel um propósito de novo uso conservando a sua condição de vestígio do passado que expressa a memória do lugar.
A proposta projetual realizada considerou um programa habitacional para contrariar a tendência de edificações de hotéis, entre outras instituições de carácter turístico. Sendo a Baixa Pombalina uma zona histórica, este tipo de intervenção no património construído possibilita a reutilização de antigas estruturas edificadas inseridas no contexto urbano atual, integrando-as de novo na vida ativa da cidade.
This dissertation addresses the study of Pombaline construction inserted in the urban context of the historic area of Lisbon. The study area is a building located at Rua dos Sapateiros, 129. Throughout the work, techniques for the conservation and rehabilitation of architectural heritage are explored, proposing the appropriation of aspects of the existing construction and adding new elements to allow the continuous use of spaces. Initially, we intend to understand the characteristics of the Pombaline urban model and its construction techniques and thus understand the value of the building that still respects these characteristics. The second stage of the study focuses on the development of a rehabilitation project on Rua dos Sapateiros 129, maintaining the same typology per apartment and reusing various architectural elements, maintaining the structure of the building, without compromising the durability and integrity of the construction, thus giving the still a purpose of new use preserving its condition as a vestige of the past that expresses the memory of the place. The project proposal carried out considered a housing program to counter the trend of hotel buildings, among other institutions of a tourist nature. As Baixa Pombalina is a historic area, this type of intervention in the built heritage allows the reuse of old built structures inserted in the current urban context, integrating them again in the active life of the city.
