Il contributo descrive l'area di progetto scelta per il workshop internazionale "Dynamics of Periphery", evidenziandone le potenzialità e sottolineando le questioni progettuali. Il Vallone Cicchillo, a Favara, valle coltivata che si incunea nel tessuto urbano, è un esempio di in-between rurale-urbano, denso di questioni e opportunità: i margini e i bordi, le connessioni e l'accessibilità, il paesaggio agricolo all'interno della città.
