Itinerari del senso

Analysing the phenomena of desemantization/resemantization may reveal itself as a fertile crossroads around which issues relating to objects, media products (from cinema to TV series, from memes to parodies), spaces (urban arteries, buildings, museums, commercial places), artworks etc. intersect. From a linguistic point of view, desemantization and resemantization involve the loss and rediscovery of senses and meanings of words. Applied to other forms of language, similar phenomena can be found in the elimination/attribution of old and new uses to buildings, functionalities to objects, readings to texts. In other words, they imply the notion of value and investment or recognition of that value.
