O repertório cerâmico da sala nº 1(Vidigueira), na sequência Neolítico final e Calcolítico do Alentejo Médio

Abstract

O trabalho aqui proposto tem como objectivo central, a realização de análises ao conjunto dos recipientes cerâmicos pertencentes ao povoado da Sala nº1. Repertório esse, que se baseou no acervo retirado do sítio arqueológico Sala nº1, intervencionado pelo Professor Victor S. Gonçalves (1988, 1989 e 1995). As análises e descrições efectuadas foram sempre norteadas para a tentativa de estabelecer uma sequência de formas que se pudesse verificar quanto à sua normalização e frequência nos contextos presentes ao povoado da Sala nº1. Traduzindo nessa realidade, a diacronia transversal entre os estratos arqueológicos pertencentes ao Neolítico final e os estratos pertencentes ao Calcolítico. Tendo sempre como parâmetros de análise, as metodologias e critérios descritivos dos recipientes cerâmicos, presentes nos trabalhos publicados sobre as realidades cronológicas semelhantes no Sul de Portugal. O próprio conjunto de recipientes cerâmicos aqui analisado foi submetido a essas metodologias, com fim de obter primordialmente as formas e as tipologias a que pertencem. Nesse sentido procurei criar um quadro de referência local e regional, e posteriormente coloca-lo num enquadramento geral do Neolítico final e início do Calcolítico do Alentejo Médio, tentando verificar as similitudes nos quadros tipológicos existentes, como os estabelecidos por Carlos Tavares da Silva e Joaquina Soares. Sendo este um estudo que abrange um tempo cronológico de praticamente 1500 anos, premiei através da amplitude dos contornos que moldaram esta análise, algumas perspectivas possíveis. Quer ao nível das tipologias, quer ao nível das estratégias de ocupação do território, aplicáveis para o espaço e o tempo em análise. Verificando a realidade escassa nos contextos alentejanos (publicados), em que a cultura material se integra numa estratigrafia e cronologias com uma diacronia semelhante à do povoado da Sala nº1. Tentei integrar este povoado num estudo que não sendo comparativo, tivesse essa componente em relação às tipologias e formas cerâmicas identificadas. Procurou-se dar enfase à realidade artefactual das taças carenadas, e à sua possível evolução para formas mais adaptáveis ao uso e consumo quotidiano das comunidades contemporâneas das fases Calcolíticas do povoado.

ABSTRACT: The central objective of this proposed study is to analyze the ceramic vases belonging to the repository from Sala nº1 settlement. This repository, is based on the collection from Sala nº1, that were removed from the archaeological site, where Professor Victor S. Gonçalves intervened in 1988, 1989 and 1995. The analyses and descriptions were guided by the attempt to establish a sequence of shapes that could verify their normality and attendance as presented in the settlement of Sala nº1. Translating this reality is the diachronic cross between archaeological strata belongs to the Late Neolithic and the Chalcolithic. Maintaining the analysis parameters, the methodologies and descriptive methods of ceramic vessels, similar to studies done in chronological realities similar to southern Portugal, are published and suitably referred in this study. The analysis of the collection of ceramic vessels was submitted to these methodologies to obtain primarily the shapes and the typologies to which they belong. Accordingly, I created a local and regional reference chart and, subsequently, place the collection in a general chart of Late Neolithic and early Chalcolithic of the Middle Alentejo. Furthermore the chart attempts to verify the typological similarities in the existing charts, such as those established by Carlos Tavares da Silva and Joaquina Soares. Being that this is a study that expands a time period of nearly of 1500 years, the amplitude of the contours that have shaped this analysis allowed for some of the possible perspectives. Whether at the level of the typologies or the strategies of territorial occupation, I have applied space and time for my analysis. The Alentejo contexts poses that the culture material is one stratigraphy and chronologies with a diachronic, which is similar in Sala nº1. I tried to include the same settlements in one study being not comparative would such component relative to the typologies and forms of the ceramics identified. Giving an emphasis to the artifactual reality of the carinated bowls, and their possible progression to be more adaptable forms of our use and daily consumption of the contemporary communities of the phases of the Chalcolithic settlement.
