© Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2018. Most of the previous studies in mobile learning focused on pedagogical or technical implementation. However, very little attention was paid to address the abstract model of the general view of adaptation particularly in ubiquitous environments. The main aim of this study is to propose a comprehensive framework for supporting adaptation, more precisely the learning path adaptation, in mobile and ubiquitous learning environment. We introduce Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (SBAR) framework to define the conceptual model of the context and adaptation in the mobile learning environment. The conceptual model is explored by a scenario of daily activities in ubiquitous environments.
