Looking at the social network E@ (www.arteweb.ning.com) as an artistic
work, we began to wonder: what do we see? What do we think of it? What is it?
The members of this network work on it as artists as well as teachers (understood as
architects of knowledge). They use it to create and exhibit their artistic and teaching work, involving the users in their own training as critical and compromised citizens,
for the development of their own cultural and artistic skills. We will explain this
Network, understood as a HOME, with no specific geographical location, used as
a living art space; as a home-foundation, due to its characteristics as an interface
and method of operation; as an inhabited-home, an observatory of the migration
of creators, artists, audiences, educators and their students; as home-knowledge, a
place for visible and invisible teaching and the exchange of knowledge; as homeinspiring,
a place for information but also for calls to create and act; as a switchedon-
home, as a laboratory of ideas. Finally, we look to the future use of Internet,
understood as a migrating asset: a complex, creative and stimulating place for
wondering glances, as an alternative or complementary habitable art space.
