Abstract

The effect of three natural diets (sardine, crab and squid), used for feeding Octopus vulgaris broodstocks was studied in the spawníng quality and total amino acid composition of eggs and tiatchüng. Multivariate techniques were used to reveal groups based on the diet and to relate the amino acid profile of the spawning with the parameters of quality. The analysis allowed us to discrimínate the composition of eggs based on the total amino acid contents; however, hatchling showed a homogeneous amino acid composition between the three groups. Peai Gon s correlation analysis found that eggs composition showed a greater degree of relation to the spawn quality parameters than hatchling
