Abstract
Forensic Biology contributes valuable scientific contributions in research. The techniques used by biologists and
interdisciplinary work may provide important results in this respect. The aim of this work was to provide scientific evidence in a
case, by identifying remains of feces present in the shoe of a victim. The determination of animal species, producer of this biological
evidence, together with other evidence allowed infer potential places where the victim was present. In addition, this paper shows
techniques used in biology whose employment can generate significant results contributing as evidence in the reconstruction of
crimes.
