Abstract
This work presents the work Yantra, which I did during a year of continuous investigation and creative work over a visual piece that has the shape of a Mandala, done over a circular structure made of Wood of approximately 1m diameter, and 5 cm of thickness. On each side of this structure I assigned a concentric circular distribution of elements that have a ritual character of comprehending the world in two essences: life and death, depicted respectively through the techniques of acrylic painting and copper engraving. Each of these essences is represented by a rounded central image (30 x 30 cm) and surrounding it 16 engravings and 16 paintings, also circle format, of 12 x 12 cm, distributed in two concentric rings, eight images each. The central image portrays mi visualization of each essence as an ecosystem in which a ritual is having place. The first ring symbolizes through human faces the human emotions derived from each essence, and the ring of images that close the circle shows through animals those conditions transformed into the animals that inhabit those particular spaces.
