Abstract
This thesis examines the disconnect between the 2007 Ontario Science and
Technology Curriculum and a textbook written specifically to support it, Investigating
Science and Technology 7. The paper illustrates the suggested teaching strategies
contained in the curriculum, their exclusion from the text, and the possible causes for the
striking differences between the two.
