Abstract: Metal matrix composites have become a large leading material in composite materials and particulate reinforced aluminium MMCs has received importance due to their excellent engineering properties In recent years numerous developments in aluminium metal matrix composites focus in the fabrication methods tribological and machinability characteristics Although aluminium metal matrix composites are fabricated by different methods powder metallurgy technique proves to be one of the most promising fabrication techniques Eventhough powder metallurgically fabricated aluminium MMCs found applications where better mechanical tribological and machinability properties are required the study of influence of processing parameters on better wear performance quality and integrity of machined surface is important as it has a significant impact on the product performance newline
