Abstract

This project examines how energy efficiency (EE) can play a major role in helping developing countries reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieve broader development goals. The overall aim is to demonstrate to the Canadian government and the governments of identified countries (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Vietnam) the value of EE as an approach to short term mitigation goals in line with the Paris Agreement (2015). The final report summarizes results of the five main project activities: the inception phase, selection of high-impact countries, data gathering, position paper for communication purposes, and dissemination activities.
