O presente artigo apresenta uma análise, por meio do figurino, da ambiguidade do personagem Severo
Snape da saga Harry Potter. Durante o enredo, Snape transmite a imagem de pertencer ao grupo dos bruxos das trevas, todavia no epílogo da saga o personagem revela-se de grande coragem e bondade. Busca-se, por meio do presente trabalho, analisar a dubiedade que o personagem esconde e como a moda contribui para decifrar seu mistério. Tendo como objetivo a análise da linguagem ambígua de Snape, o estudo fundamenta-se nos princípios do Design, nas linguagens da moda e na presença do arquétipo do Mago no personagem, realizada por meio de pesquisa qualitativa de cunho interpretativo por intermédio de pesquisa bibliográfica. Verificou-se diante deste estudo que, apesar do figurino servir de escudo a Snape e auxiliar no disfarce das suas reais intenções, ele já revela em detalhes a bondade apresentada no último livro da saga. Por fim os resultados da pesquisa servirão de base para criação de uma coleção de moda, tendo como público alvo os fãs e apreciadores da saga Harry Potter que buscam roupas sem as representações clichês existentes no mercado.
This article presents an analysis by means of the costuming of the ambiguity from Severo Snape’s character in Harry Potter’s saga. During the plot Snape conveys the image of belonging to the group of the darkness wizards, nevertheless in the epilogue of the saga the character reveals a great courage and goodness. This work seeks to analyze the ambiguity that the character hides and how fashion contributes to decipher its mystery. Aiming at analyzing Snape's ambiguous language, the study is based on the principles of Design, on the languages of fashion and on the presence of the Magician's archetype in the character, performed through a qualitative research of an interpretative nature through bibliographical research. It was verified before this study that although the costuming serves as shield to Snape and to aid in the disguise of his real intentions he already revealed in detail the goodness presented in the last book of the saga. Finally the results of the research will serve as a basis for the creation of a fashion collection, targeting fans and appraiser of the Harry Potter saga who seek clothes without the clichés depictions on the market.
