Terapia intraoperatória com células estaminais

Abstract

Inserido no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução Especializada, o presente projeto consiste na tradução e criação de um glossário, bem como na análise crítica de todo este processo, e representa o culminar de mais uma etapa. As células estaminais e o seu potencial regenerativo estão cada vez mais na ordem do dia; de tal modo que têm vindo a surgir cada vez mais possibilidades de terapias e cada vez com melhores resultados clínicos. O texto aqui trabalhado resume-nos algumas dessas terapias, algumas das suas possíveis aplicações, e abre a porta a novas investigações que desenvolvam ainda mais o campo num futuro próximo.

For the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of the Master’s Degree in Specialized Translation, the following project consists of a translation and a glossary, as well as a critical analysis of the translation process, thus representing the end of another stage. More than ever, stem cells and their regenerative potential are gaining greater importance and the increase in a number of new therapies with positive clinical outcomes are clearly a substantiation of this trend. The text hereby analysed in a meticulous manner summarises some of these therapies, and points to some of the possible clinical applications while leaving the possibility for further research that can develop this field even more in the near future.
