Repetitive strain injuries are a topic that has been increasingly being targeted by the music community. Since the saxophone is a heavy instrument and has an asymmetrical construction, it requires that the performers have to adapt their body position to the instrument. In this sense, this work through surveys, seeks to know if the saxophonist community in general has notion that the practice of the instrument can bring injuries. 131 saxophonists were surveyed, most of them studied / practiced despite the pain. It is necessary to identify which injuries are most recurrent and to disclose exercises that prevent them. |
