Sensores e actuadores sem fios para ambientes habitacionais

Abstract

O presente documento descreve os trabalhos de investigação e desenvolvimento de um sistema de sensores e actuadores, cujos principais objectivos assentam na monitorização de pessoas e no auxílio às populações idosas ou com limitações funcionais, em ambientes habitacionais, laboratoriais ou hospitalares. Assim, neste documento descrevem-se inicialmente o projecto “Living Usability Lab” e o “Sistema B-Live Wireless”, ambos relacionados com o apoio à população idosa e com limitações funcionais, analisam-se alguns sistemas respeitantes a esta mesma temática e, por fim, documenta-se o desenvolvimento efectuado, nomeadamente os sensores e actuadores a utilizar.

This document describes the research and development of a sensor/actuator system, whose main goals are monitoring people behavior and health, besides helping elderly and impaired populations performing everyday tasks, both in their homes or in hospital/laboratory facilities. The “Living Usability Lab” project and the “B-Live Wireless” system are described in the first sections due to their common goal: helping elderly and impaired populations. Although the work is focused on the requirements of these endeavors, several other systems are also studied. The development of sensors, actuators and associated hardware is also presented with focus on their architecture and operation.
