Ensaios de envelhecimento a sistemas azulejares de fachada

Abstract

É objetivo estudar e avaliar o comportamento de argamassas à base de ligantes aéreos para a reparação de edifícios antigos com acabamento em azulejo. São realizados provetes e sistemas recriando os sistemas tradicionais de Ovar que são sujeitos a ciclos de envelhecimento em câmara climática. Estes sistemas foram submetidos a stress higrotérmico, sendo que foram determinadas as principais características mecânicas dos provetes ensaiados. Os dados obtidos indicam tendências comportamentais das argamassas estudadas ao longo de diferentes idades bem como permitem compreender a compatibilidade e as respetivas interações entre alvenaria, argamassa, azulejo e cantaria.

The aim of this thesis is to study and evaluate the behaviour of mortars based on air binders for the repair of old buildings with tiled façades. Specimens are made recreating traditional systems from Ovar and these are subject of ageing cycles in a climatic chamber. These systems were subjected to hydrothermal – stress and main mechanical characteristics of the tested samples were determined. The data obtained indicates behavioural tendencies of the mortars studied during different ages and enables the understanding of compatibility interactions between the respective brick, mortar, tile and masonry.
