Funções da educação de infância - evolução de conceitos e práticas

Abstract

Pretende-se estudar a educação pré-escolar em Portugal ao nível dos conceitos e práticas, das funções e da diversidade de organizações em instituições diferentes da família e numa perspectiva evolutiva desde o seu início até ao presente. Procura-se focar em particular a integração (ou não) da educação dos 3/4 aos 5/6 anos com a escolaridade primária na educação básica, recorrendo à experiência de organizações internacionais e à comparação com os casos de Inglaterra, França, Alemanha e Itália, países onde a educação pré-escolar se desenvolveu nas suas diferentes funções.

ABSTRACT: This present research studies the pre-school education in Portugal at the level of its concepts and working practice, its functions and organizational diversity in different institutions and in a chronological perspective since its roots to the present day. It intends to focus on the integration (or not) of the education since 3/4 years of age to 5/6 with primary school in basic education, recurring to the experience of international organizations and to the comparison with other countries like England, France, Germany and Italy, where pre-school education developed in its different functions.
