Rawls, le comunità e le virtù

Liberalism is criticized for having disregarded or neglected the importance, for the flourishing and livability of a society, of the presence of the virtues of citizens and of the humanizing communities. The article shows how this criticism cannot be correctly addressed to Rawls: already in "A Theory of Justice" he highlighted the importance of civil virtues and human communities, starting with the family.

Una critica al liberalismo gli contesta di aver misconosciuto o comunque trascurato l’importanza, per la fioritura e la vivibilità di una società, della presenza sia delle virtù dei cittadini sia di comunità umanizzatrici. L’articolo mostra come questa critica non possa essere correttamente rivolta a Rawls: già in "Una teoria della giustizia" egli ha messo in luce l’importanza delle virtù civili e delle comunità umane, cominciando dalla famiglia.
