Abstract
The twelfth in a series of weekly historical radio shows produced on the campus of Georgetown University. A man calls a doctor to come visit his nephew who feels sick. The nephew recently arrived from the "Old country" and is reading a history of the United States and studying to be a citizen. The Doctor tells him he's probably just been working too hard lately and tries to help him with his homework by telling him about American constitutional history, including the 1787 Philadelphia Constitutional Convention and the adoption of the Connecticut Compromise in which the lower house would be apportioned by population and the upper house would ensure that all states had the same number of seats.
