Psychosocial factors connecting to the attitude of organ-donation and organ-transplantation

Abstract

Three scales (personality traits, values, beliefs) were associated with donation attitudes. However, no significant association occurred between three of the personality dimensions, except for extraversion, which was favorably correlated with deceased attitudes toward organ donation and agreeableness that positively correlated with living attitudes toward donation. Benevolence, universalism, tradition had positive attitude to donation. Misbeliefs negatively correlated with donation.
