Resumen/Abstract
Planar Chiral Metamaterials implemented on printed circuit technology provide a route to negative refractive index thanks to their high optical activity. The traditional planar chiral metamaterials are characterized by exhibiting chirality properties mainly in a single frequency band. This paper presents a planar chiral metamaterial structure constituted by two pairs of conjugated gammadions oriented in the same direction that shows high optical activity in two different frequency bands. The response in one of the frequency bands is produced by the longer conjugated gammadion pair, while the response in the second frequency band is produced by the combination of both pairs. The geometric parameters of shorter conjugated gammadion are optimized to rotate the polarization plane up to 80 °.
