ABSTRACT Nowadays society needs alternatives to the Eurocentric bias present in all its areas –a phenomenon that, not only distorts reality in benefit of a few, but also damages the welfare of many others–. These alternatives must be driven by Education since one of the commitments of school is responding to social needs. Thus, based on this idea, a proposal of educational innovation is offered and addressed to the students of 1st ESO for the subject of Spanish Language and Literature, which contributes to solve this problem through the valorization of Arab culture into Spanish culture –especially, in Spanish language–, due to its great importance in the configuration and development of Spanish civilization.
